Pär Lindh started playing piano at an early age but serious lessons began at the age of nine.
Organ lessons followed the year after as well as lessons in percussion.
Private lessons in Sweden on piano, organ and harpsichord followed.
In the eighties Pär was a student of the harpsichord at Schola Cantorum in Paris. During his time in Paris Pär took the chance of studying for many well known harpsichordists and organists. Sometimes only for a couple of masterclasses like with Marie Claire Alain, Ton Koopman, Luciano Scrizzi, among others. Sometimes only a smaller number of lessons like with Ruggiero Gerlin & Susann Landale. But with Huguette Dreyfus Pär studied for three years and with Kenneth Gilbert for two years.
Says Pär: ¨I studied for some 30 teachers during my educational years because I really wanted to learn everything there was to know about the arts of playing the Organ, the Harpsichord and the Grand Piano¨.
At the age of 19 Pär Lindh became the harpsichordist of The Royal Swedish Chamber Orchestra.
With this orchestra he performed mainly at the Royal Castle Festival concerts in Stockholm but also on tours in Sweden and Germany.
With Paris and later Chartres as base Pär toured as harpsichordist and organist in Europe and the USA.
In the mid nineties as the baroque music wave faded out Pär took the decision to radically change his carreer in music and started his own record company and started his classically inspired progressive rock ensamble The Pär Lindh Project releasing five albums and touring Europe and the Americas.
Please read more on the History page of PLP.
However lately Pär has gradually moved back to the classical music field of giving concert again as pianist, organist and harpsichordist.
